9LIST ROUTIN3S | BRIAN MICHAEL SMITH: MORNING

1/ Cuddle my pup. He’s such a good boy he’ll stay in his crate waiting for me to ask to come out and then every morning comes out and greets me as if he hadn’t seen me in years.

 2/ Nespresso coffee- We got a Nespresso machine last year and have become complete coffee snobs. I have to start every morning with a cup of Nespresso complete with steamed vanilla creamer.

3/ Stretch. I love to act like I don’t need to, but my bones and muscles say otherwise, immediately and loudly. So, every morning, I take about 10-12 minutes to stretch out and do some light yoga.

 

9LIST ROUTIN3S | BRIAN MICHAEL SMITH: AFTERNOON

4/ Work out. I am not a morning person, and my energy usually peaks in the afternoon so I have to get moving during the day or I will be… “Squirrely.”

5/ Chicken. I love it. My lunch or dinner usually involves some form of chicken. Nugget. Tender. Grilled Breast. I don’t care.

6/ Naps - if we’re filming, we usually have early call times so if I can get 10 mins of down time, I will catch some ZZZs.

7/ Catching up with my Wife- When I get home, we like to chill out order dinner and talk about whatever misadventures occurred during our vastly different days.

8/ Binging a new show- Our favorite game is trying to find a show the other person would never think they’d enjoy but end up loving. I’m winning.

9/ The last walk. I have the honor of taking the dog out for the last walk before bed, and even when I think I don’t want to do it, every time I get down there and just walk without my phone to distract me, I find it meditative and a great way to let go of the day before I go to sleep.
