The Lost Forest | Nobel Peace Prize Shorts | By National Geographic

From National Geographic: An international team of scientists and explorers, lead by Dr Julian Bayliss, go on an extraordinary mission in Mozambique to reach a forest that no human has set foot in. The team, including some of the world’s foremost climate change experts, aims to collect data from the forest to help in our understanding of how climate change is affecting our planet. But the forest sits atop a mountain, and to reach it, the team must first climb a sheer 100m wall of rock. One Earth - Environmental Short Film | By Romain Pennes

From Romaine Pennes: One Earth is an environmental short film I created and edited to help raise awareness about our impact on our environment day to day. It tells the story of how we globally, and massively around the world, use resources for our short term profit, by deforestation, mining, burning fossil fuels, consuming and expanding. This sadly leads to the many environmental issues we face today in 2021, including global pollution, climate change, and the extinction of animal species.

One Way to Lower Health Costs: Pay People to Be Healthy | By Knowledge By Wharton

Knowledge At Wharton: When employers want their employees to live healthier lifestyles -- to lose weight, stop smoking and exercise regularly -- nothing works like cash, according to research led by Wharton faculty. Exercise now and save on healthcare costs later | By Dr. David Geier

From Dr. Geier: Exercise and physical activity now might help you avoid huge healthcare bills later in life. In a recent study published in the journal BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine, researchers found that people who reported moderate exercise throughout their adult lives saved an average of $1,350 per year on health care expenses after reaching age 65 compared to sedentary people. Even those who exercised early in life but got less physical activity in their forties and fifties still spent about $860 less each year. But the best news is that even if you aren't active now, it's never too late. People who waited until their forties to increase their exercise still saved $824 dollars on future healthcare. Given that inactivity has been estimated to account for over $100 billion dollars in healthcare spending each year in this country, getting more exercise can help us - and our healthcare system - financially. https://drdavidgeier.com
